idc chapter begins

This post is not exactly after a very long time.Last time I posted was just two months back,but it looks like an eternity has passed by ,since ,my last post.I will summarize what has happened in the past two months,I joined IIT-Bombay,I hit mumbai and saw a lot of Chaos which I still see today to some extent.The hostel accomodation ,the orientation and the disorientation , “interaction” with seniors , learning to dance in Saree,first set of assignments ,late night slogging ,birthday celebrations at Design Circle ,booze sessions with friends and recently the Mount Abu trip as part of user-studies course are roughly the things I did in the last two months.

This post comes as a reflection on what next after getting into IIT.It seems like IIT is abundant in resources , activities and opportunities.Sometimes it looks so overwhelming for us to actually make use of ‘em.Talking to faculties here is always enlightening and reminds us of our DREAM that once was so alive.The DREAM is still alive now but it seems little lost in the chaos and abundance surrounding us.Talking to any faculty here and listening to their lectures , it looks like the DREAM is coming back but goes back to sleep as you crash on your bed after a day-long series of lectures and assignments and activities.I think what’s required is some liberating exercise like Jogging , Aerobics , Swimming , Gyming or anything of similar type in routine.

About Mumbai: Well I am yet to explore Mumbai as I hardly get out of the campus.It’s only outside the campus I realise that there are so many colors other than GREEN in Mumbai.We visited quite a few places in Mumbai like CST , Marine Drive , Gateway of India.I did travel to few other places like Thane,Andheri,Malad,Borivali etc but not for exploring the place.
